To unite science, innovation, and people to protect the Amazon – the greatest wild forest on Earth.
For over 25 years, Amazon Conservation has worked alongside Indigenous peoples, local communities, scientists, governments, and fellow nonprofits to achieve our mission to unite science, innovation, and people to protect the Amazon–the greatest wild forest on Earth. Today, we work across all nine Amazonian countries through our growing network of local partners, advancing conservation solutions at the scale of the challenges facing the entire region. Our work focuses on bringing an Amazon-wide perspective to protect wild places, empower people, and put science and technology to work for conservation. Together with our partners, we are delivering conservation results at both local and Amazon-wide scales, from protecting globally important ecosystems and driving some of the tropic’s leading scientific analyses to exposing deforestation with the latest technology and supporting communities on the frontlines of defending forests.
